We did not tested Firebird 2.1 under OsX Lion
Firebird 2.5.0 superserver had a problem

flawlessly in Snow Leopard, with Firebird 2.1.4.
I'm using flamerobin to connect to the database. AFAIK, it always uses the full
connection

everything runs fine (including fdbs
