I've been using a non-slip pad. It is just a black liner that can be placed
on a regular pad. It helps quite a bit and does not affect the fit of the
saddle.
Also, I've used Mattes pads...they work very well, but are a bit pricey.

Well, all that sure fits in with my beliefs. My Fjords ride in snaffles, we
just trail ride mostly. But I have not felt the need for any other bits, maybe
if I was into showing I would have to make some changes, for now we just go on
down the trail.
