Hi, all--
I have finally uploaded the Youtube video of a recent morning at the barn
when Clyde fell asleep in my lap. Unfortunately, after much searching, I was
not able to figure out how to rotate it, but you get the idea. There are a

Hello Fjord owner listers,
FWIW, I have a couple of comments/suggestions regarding the overweight
Fjords.
Definitely do the Magnesium/Oxide.
Limit their feed intake and go to four or more feedings a day to keep them

Thank you Kate and Laurie for the tips on saddles. It's fun shopping for
just the right saddle, but it's also a serious decision and a significant
investment.
The Fallis saddles are works of art, aren't they.

We are very pleased to announce the safe arrival of our second fjord, FC
Della Ree. Della came to us from her home in New York, and arrived yesterday

I use all three methods, grazing muzzle on when turned out for 5-7
hours, small paddock attached to stall for rest of day and night but
with a hay feeding after a few hours of being in there and Quiessence
pellets.

Catherine - please don't reply privately!! I am sure there are many of us

Hello Everybody,
Tessa is now 34 years old. She looks pretty good. In fact, nobody would
believe her age. Even I have a hard time believing it and I see her
everyday. She has plenty of flesh on her ribs, and her back is almost as

just let them graze for a while and then put the muzzles on, but, today I
wanted to let them be out in the pasture longer so I put them on right away.

reduction in Fjords. Both Amy Evers and Kathy Monroe can tell you more about
our methods. I am rushed for time today but when I get a chance... I'll

Dear listers,
I know that other people have had over weight fjords and would like more
information on a safe way to get the weight off. We recently acquired several
fjords who were just left on pasture and as a result, imagine, are VERY obese.
I don't kno
