winter, you will not care for Texas as it seldom if ever snows. Some areas, like Dallas, get occasional ice storms, but that is very rare. We are used to a much colder climate, and have found Texas to be miserable, for us. But I certainly cannot speak for everybody. Hope that helps! Lynda
