But as Tariq said, if no one knows about it they do not feel safe adopting
it. The only way I've got my Flex app in the
door is because I knew the project manager. He had never heard of Flex. If
Flex was mentioned in Java Developers
journal magazines he would know about it. Everyone was
I was similiar. I ended up selling a large mining company on the idea back
when FLEX was $15k per cpu by simply building a prototype with some gorgeous
skins inside. I showed them a smoke and mirror version of what the end
result should look like and what not.

Hi all,
I mentioned before that I had asked our marketing folks to come up with
a response to your questions from last week. It took a little while but
I think they have provided more info than you could possibly imagine.
It was so much that we decided to put it on the blog.

It definitely helps sell the case of Flex when customers feel confident in the
technology you're promoting. Keep in mind that the majority of Flex apps are

I mentioned this @ the Silicon Valley Flex User Group meeting the
other day but I wanted to reiterate it here and see if I could invoke
a response from Adobe.
Mr. Mendels?
Where is the marketing for Flex? Why keep the most beautiful
framework in the world for creating applications a secret?
I'd agree to that. The marketing effort seems to heavily rely on the

DevNet are KEY to maximizing technology adoption - but people need to
know about it in the first place.

I think that this message must be marked as off-topic but I'd agree too, but s! let's to get an approach from that! ;)Obviously, it's a joke!I think that flex take a place itself with no much time. But, I don't agree with the excessive price for developer license, at least for me, because

If Adobe will let me use the Flex logo I'll create mousepads, mugs,
decals, jackets, hats, license plate holder, you name it!
I'll even volunteer to have the logo tattooed on me. :)

I think Clint ment non-technical marketing - venues for non-programmers - more likes of Wall Street Journal or ZDNet.
Other thing would be mastering industry support - given capabilities and future plans announcements from Linux / Applinace vendors and ISVs would be very helpful. Also,
