I was under the impression that those stability issues were mainly
the sound card oscillator that cause this "drift" as opposed to the
master oscillator... so the issue is more with the PC than the SDR ??
in any case I consider 25 hz stability pretty "high stability
oscillator " anyhow

Thanks guys, guess it doesn't surprise me. Microsoft doesn't have
a clue when it comes to backwards compatibility. But I wanted to make
sure I wasn't leaving out some libraries or files or something simple.
And yeah, all this "object oriented" coding leaves my old procedural
head spinning! :)

What's the phase noise like from a HP Z3801A GPS standard? I have one
and have thought about interfacing to my SDR. Having super frequency
accuracy would be nice, but not at the expense of degrading overall
system performance.

Brian,
I guess it's ok to use two sound cards but it's more common among
SDR1k users to use VAC, in which case you will not hear anything from
MixW. There are two papers on the web site you need. "Using the
SDR-1000 with Third Party Programs," and "How to Set up VAC with
PowerSDR" by Bob
For the record, you should be able to adjust the windows mixer for the
second card to mute the audio should you choose to use multiple hardware
soundcards.
