Combining things at Dayton is an even better idea, and I am sure Gerald can
sort out a Texas "style" BBQ for those who have missed out on the real
experience!
By then both the 2nd receiver and the 2M transverter should be available and
could feature in any presentations?

The first one in Austin would be a great prototype for a much bigger, more
comprehensive event at Dayton, sans the barbeque- it's smuggling to take
real Texas barbeque beyond the sacred borders of this state.

Are you referring to the NDB identifier? I think they are the only ones

one thing you might try is changing the length of your inter-connecting

If there's barbeque OR beer involved, I am an eager learner.
If there's BOTH, I'm totally dedicated to the concept.

Super.
I could imagine a multi session event with grumbling being one of them. I
would like to see lectures and discussions driven by inputs provided in
advance by user and selections made by the staff on frequent, repetitive
issues that come up on the reflector.

If such were held, perhaps it could be videotaped and put on the flex
web site for viewing by those who cannot attend in person.

This is in the planning stages. When I suggested it to Gerald about two
months ago, he was very enthusiastic. I have NO details to pass on
other than to say Flex sees the value in it. I suggested that the
developers be brought in at Flex expense so users could come and gripe
or praise as the
ustin for such a session. What do the rest of you think?

I do not know
This is a trial and error process. The most probable culprits are NIC drivers
and video cards.
You can try disabling mobo hardware and bus connected devices until you find
the one that is causing the problems.

Thanks for your suggestions Jim.
But I'm sure it's a rfi problem as there are collateral effects other than a
buzzy audio in ssb mode.
I also have ptt problems in cw mode.
So I'm concentrating on bypassing my ptt footswitch and ptt button on my
