Are you vista 64 or 32 -- only runs on 32 I believe
or you may need .net 3.51.

Zack,
I used the same setup as you. I couldn't get the PTT on the microphone
to work. The problem was that I had the Heil adaptor cable plugged into
the 5000 incorrectly. There was no key on the connector, so it would
plug in in any direction. Once I got the pins lined up correctly it

You may NOT be able to swap your old drives into the new machine.
Depending on age, most new machines utilize SATA cables and a slightly
different power connecton.
I just ran into that.
My old Dell PS gave the ghost, I had 3 HD & 2 DiskDrives.

Thats not how I understand it, you can upgrade to the commercial
shipped version from the release candidate.

Keyboard, drives, and OS will be pulled from the existing Dell. Existing HDs
with OS and programs should drop in to the new system.

I am pretty sure its testing the entire system. Thats why you want to
let it run for a while as you do your normal computer stuff to see the
real number.
But, I would not live or die by the DPC rating. I would live by the
performance of the radio. I am pretty sure that I have seen DPC

Careful: If you run the Win7 Release Candidate build, you will almost
certainly have to do a complete re-install when the released product
comes out. That is, it would be unusu
Hello All,
Hope everyone had a good time at Dayton. I know you'all will be busy for a

Joe,
Rather than getting a big machine to do everything, you might want to
consider just getting another (cheap) machine and split the work between
the two. Your 6-year-old machine looks pretty good as a Flex machine;
maybe you can just add another computer to do some of the work.
I just bought
Joe
That would be a great system with room to grow. Didn't see an
operating system in the list, are you thinking of the Windows 7
release candidate until March? If you buy, get XP.

I opened up the manual (yeah I know RTM!) to page 5 and looked at the pinout
for the mic. Turns out that pins 7 & 5
were reversed! Moved them to the the proper pinout and it works great now, NO

Anyone know if any progress has been made yet with getting the nice new

I am still considering completely changing to WinXP ... but it seems like a
lot of work and I would hate to find out that I can't get XP drivers for

OK, I know that the specs say 13.8V +/- 10% so that is an operating
voltage range of 12.4V to 15.2V. But what is the real operating range,
especially on the low end? Seems to me that the Flex 3000 is clearly
aimed at portable operation but portable operation to me implies
battery power. That means

I'm not calling this a 'bug'.
As it's probably a 'MY SYSTEM ONLY' anomaly.
The only reason I'm crossposting to the three programs involved is that
maybe someone may have experienced a related situation.
