VOA and HCJB ran a demo earlier this evening (Monday night 0100 to 0400 utc)
broadcasting DRM (digital radio mondiale). VOA had a whopping big signal out
here in the Midwest on 9405kHz. Included in the broadcast was a second
service, a multimedia slideshow. I decoded 25 pixs. With the 5000A
I run Flex 5000A here.
Today I started it up, and then this message came up, due to a reason I
don't know. What could it be ?.
Is that the FireWire driver ?

I understand and fully appreciate your caution regarding the operation of the

I saw the posting too late, and missed the show. Where was it broadcast

computer power is minimal in this area. 2.8 GHz P4. Runs PowerSDR fine, but
when decoding DRM, it helps if I minimize PowerSDR and DReaM -

Erik,
Something happened that has caused the FireWire driver to need to be
re-installed, either moved the radio to a different FW port, replaced
the FW card, or updated the FW driver. But in any event, under XP
you will see three (3) Found New HW wizards come up on the driver

I bought mine about three years ago on eBay, works like a charm.
I don't remember who the seller was but I probably have that info at home.

Hi Dudley.
The culprit was, that I by a fault had a wrong FireWire driver
installed. After I got that fixed, I got the Audio and the 2 MIDIs
installed.
Thanks for the input here :-)

What do I need for running DRM on the F5K? The DRM shows we need
external software! You mentioned DREAM software. What version and how
to install it? Are there regular test times and frequencies? Any DRM
going on on the Ham bands?

You do need to get the Dream software.. I was never able to find a
pre-built version, you have to build it from source as far as I know.

There are regular test times, the DREAM receiver lists a bunch .
I'll see if I can cobble together a pre-built
