I note from recent searches and general perusal of the reflector that the subject of a manual notch has gone very quiet. I imagine most would class this as a requirement on an elite class radio but very little has been said since 2007 when it was overlooked to ensure all the "essential" function

The Atom 330 is under powered for a FLEX-x000. Enabling DSP features such as NR or NB in PowerSDR will cause it to have degraded audio performance. I have not tried it with the latest Firewire drivers, but I suspect that it will not be feasible for use as a CPU platform until there is software

Hello, I have a QRO 2500DX and this has always done this with my setup. I just simply place the transmit toggle switch to standby and then power down the FLX5000. The reason I do not power down the amp first is because the tubes need to cool down for a bit before shutting completely down.

Have you checked the System Info as reported by the firewire driver? It can sometimes point to a clue, just go to the Info tab, click on the System Info check box and run it. The text box will appear with information on compatibility of your firewire card, whether the SidSpeed has been set, etc. 7
