I am trying to setup my IMac for use with my SDR1K. I am using the USB adapter
(Obviously). I have VMware software setup and the virtual machine works fine. I
have Power SDR 1.18.3 downloaded and it appears to be working fine. I have the
virtual machine setup to use 1- 3.06 Gig processor and 1
I have been plagued from day one with intermittent reverberation or echoing on
the transmitted signal from my 5000a. Despite hundreds of software adjustment
experiments and putting ferrite snap beads both ends of every cable attached to
the 5000a I continue to be plagued and embarrassed by this

Just a guess but check the mixer and see what input devices are checked (are
you talking about SSB or what mode?). If its phone, make sure only the
device you are using is checked!

have the reverberation?
What type of antenna does it occur on?
What is your feedline and how do you
isolate any RF near your operating position?

Connect the F5K to a dummy load and listen to the output on a second receiver.
If you have the reverb, then the problem is not in the antenna system. Look
for the problem locally.

It isn't that PowerSDR isn't getting enough resources, it is that other things
are taking away from the resource pool. Windows is a pre-emptive multitasking
operating system. Everything equally (more or less) gets a slice of the pie.
