Are those DPC values causing you any problems? - I'm seeing the same thing here with a Win 7 Prof 64 bit install. Under 64 bit Vista, I always ran, under 20us. Now under Win 7, sometimes it runs for days under 8 or 9 us, and then sometimes I start up the DPC Latency Checker V1.2.0 and I get

I always see this level of DPCs when using DPCLat under win7, never less than 90us. I don't think its incorrect but it doesn't cause any problems. I think Win7, when tuned, has fewer spikes in DPCs than XP even though the average DPC is lower in XP. Because XP is getting so expensive, I think

OH MY GOD, you got DPC's of 120us... So what? Since PSDR will run just fine with 1000us to 1500us with no ill effects why are you worrying about 120us? Bottom line - If PSDR runs without problems, do not worry about what your DPC's are. I think Flexers would be much happier if they just

I doubt that it is DPCLAT that has the problem. The answer is that it is a driver loaded on Win7 causing the VERY SLIGHT RISE IN DPCs, but really it is a moot point. So, Win7 has a little longer duration baseline DPC values than Vista - they use different drivers. That is the difference.

That is good, because there are other more important things in life to worry about :-) Win7 is still very new. The drivers are not mature, and I suspect that is what you are seeing is an affect of one of the drivers doing something a bit different after it has been running for a while.
