Tell the people how much it is to freight a Flex 5000a to and from Texas.
It would be nice to have an Asia/Pacific Distributor.
I would purchase the V/U module in a heart beat.

I found something similiar though I dont recall it being as wide so I just set
a
xmt filter to narrow the xmt bandwidth and that took care of that problem,
though, it would be nice to know what was causing that and if that was really a
problem with the radio.

I have my V/U option on order and am looking forward to it. However by
reading the posts it sounds to me that when it is installed there is no
PWRSDR power meter indication to show if it realy works like we have on HF.
Am I wrong on this? If this is the case could it be added to the design?
You are correct. I believe there are no available A/D inputs to use for
feeding the measurement to PowerSDR therefore no FWD PWR output indicator for
the V/U bands.
I have a WaveNode power meter connected to V and U. It has a USB interface so
it is usable in a remote configuration. You
Mario,
This is a bug that appeared in v2.0.16. It continues in v2.0.17. It does
not affect the functionality in any way, so it probably is way down the
priority list.
In previous versions, the panadapter display was blank during CW
transmission. This was done for processing resource reasons.
Don,
That did not take care of the problem; you just thought it did. What you
Mario are seeing is the results of a bug that appeared in v2.0.16 when they
left the panadapter on during CW transmissions. (See my previous reply to
Mario.)

I recently installed MMSSTV for use with PSDR v2.0.16 on my F5000A with the
V/U module for slow scan TV.
It works well in the DGIL DGIU modes, however, I have been unable to get
it to function on 2 meter FM.
The local group runs MMSSTV on FM successfully with conventional
transceivers.
FM is basically broken. FMN mode incorrectly handles audio pre-emphasis and
de-emphasis of signals.

Tim,
Hopefully with the release of 2.1 PSDR, FM and PL tones will be fixed. This is
a
show stopperĀ for me to purchase the VU module besides the high cost of the
upgrade, the bug that when people change from HF to VU, the power outputĀ is
reset. With FM being basicially broken, that eliminates
Tim,
Thanks for the input. I guess I will have to wait for the next update to
PSDR and hope it provides the fix.

Tell me about it. Works to a 4th of the cost for my Flex3K...which is still
sitting with the customs! There used to be a Flex distributor in
