If you bring up the windows sound mixer (right click the speaker tray icon)!
You can mute individual apps. At least you can on win 7.
I've tried this sound arrangement with my Flex 1.5k but I can't mute my
transmit audio - MON is disabled.

speakers via VAC. My mouse (Logitech MX Revolution) has a thumb-wheel on
the side that I have configured as a volume control: pushing the wheel
in is MUTE, forward is VOLUME UP, and backwards is VOLUME DOWN. This

John,
The Flex really does a beautiful job of reproducing the big Wurlitzer
Jukebox sound while tuning around on the AM BCB. By the way CFZM out of
Toronto on AM 740 has the cleanest sounding signal that I have found
while listening here in New England. There's no sign of the

I suspect that the checkbox in setup-Audio-VAC1 is set to automatically turn

2. Manually c
I read this post and need to know if VAC is no longer available in SSB
modes in PowerSDR 2.4.4.
Those of us who run SSTV and on the 60 meter channels where both data and
voice are allowed need to have access to VAC while in the SSB mode.
