Hi folks,
Been away for awhile but I'm hoping to be getting a new Flex 1500
soon. Problem is that the old HP Duo Core that I have and used to use
with my 5K and my first 1500 is showing very erratic behavior lately,
taking several tries to boot and rebooting at odd times. It's not
reliable
In general, you would be hard pressed to buy a modern PC today that
would not run the 1500 in spite of the naysayers. I would add that the
graphics requirements foe PowerSDR are low and I have noticed absolutely
no difference between standard on board graphics and a good PCIe card.

Thank you for posting your ideas on the IC-7000 reflector
I am sending a copy of this email to the Flex Radio SDR reflector in
hopes that someone over there is also interested in this idea.
Rene, I am in exactly the same boat as you. I love my IC-7000 and I use
it as my base

We like to do a club demo without having the hardware there, just some
prerecorded stuff on a memory stick. The problem is the computer does
not give a demo option in 'Available Radio Interface. We also did the
update to PowerSDR2.4.4. but we have the same problem there.
Has this option
DPC is the main issue I was worrying about. IIRC graphics cards and
their drivers can cause DPC issues. I haven't looked at any of the new
processor technology lately and was surprised to see this where there is
actually a GPU on the body of the main processing unit. At least, that's
how I'm

Mike,
I agree with Brian on this. I am currently using a 1500 with Jetway NF9D-2550
dual core ATOM processor machines and they work fine but I not running anything
else. When I get a free moment I am going to check the DPCs. These machines
are running Windows 7 with all the current Microsoft
This new machine would be running Windows 7 as well. My main operating
preferences are digital modes and that an a logging program would be the
only other things running besides PowerSDR. Other than that I just surf
the web and I don't do that while I'm on the air. I'm not a gamer
anymore. I'm

John,
Go to the %APPDATA%\FlexRadio Systems folder delete the master.xml file.
This will remove the list of radios you have used PowerSDR with. Then start
PowerSDR with no radios powered on. The demo mode will then be listed.
After the demo, simply power up your radio then start PowerSDR.

Just noticed the same thing happening here while viewing a broadcast station at
7275 kHz. Noticed an image that seems to move in the opposite direction as I
tune -- almost what you would expect from a first order alias signal. Running
