Ditto Ernest's remarks. I did wonder what setting is different between the
hi-res snapshot and the video with regard to the noise floor. In the pic
the floor is almost smooth as described in the text but the video shows a
much more active NF. Is this simply due to different averaging settings?
I am using a HiZ 4 square receiving antenna on 160 meters. I have a pre-amp
in line at the control box in the center of the four verticals. I am using
a Flex 3000.

It is very useful if you have a lot of near by strong signal
interference causing intermod mixing on the ham bands. It is more
useful on the FLEX-1500 and FLEX-3000 as they do not have individual ham
band filtering like the FLEX-5000 does.
