I've been reading snippets that lead me to believe that the plan is to have
some kind of "combiner" capability with several 6700's over the internet,
although not in the near future. I'm thinking this may be something like the
current ESC, spread out over thousands of miles.

Thanks to Don, KX9Q, for pointing out an error in the AppControlPanel User

You set up a button by right-clicking on the button, not left-clicking as
indicated in the documentation.
The corrected User Manual can be downloaded from my website as well as a new

Rich,
I wrote my program to be able to launch the radio, DDUtil, and DXLabs

I routinely run both a FLEX-1500 and a FLEX-3000 simultaneously. I start the
1500 first and must answer the FLEX chooser to choose the 1500. Then I start
the 3000 and first get a dialog to verify I want to run two instances of PSDR
and then I must answer the chooser to choose to 3000.

AppControlPanel v1.0.0 has been released and is available for download from

Now that I am routinely switching operations between my FLEX-5000A and my

Just remember that voice is not the same as CW, even on analog radios your
speech pattern will only show 30 to 50% of the CW output power due to the vast
difference in average to Peak power of CW. If you are driving the rig hard
enough to get the same output as CW you will be badly disto
Dear All,
I recently sent a question out in relation to unstable
output power on my 5000a. For reference I was referring to my power
output varying anywhere between 80 to 100 watts on peak when measured through
my power meter set at peak average power. Of course when I put my linear

Hi David
I sometimes see the same thing on my 3000. However, I just never worry too
much about it. The difference between 74 and 100 watts is so small in
actual RF signal.
What do you see in CW? If you get 100W in CW, then it is an audio
alignment.
Have you done an audio chain alignment?

I haven't been paying much attention to my output in the past but have
noticed lately that I don't get a full 100W output on SSB on any band. That
is with a whistle on the input which should drive it to max output. I'm
looking at the 'Fwd Pwr' on the TX Meter which agrees pretty close with an
