I am runnning 2.7.2 with Flex5000. Over time my bandstack registers have grown
to a point where I need to trim them back down to 6 or so per band. On 80M I
currently have 17!! I can not remember much about how I added additional
registers or how to manage them. Can someone help me with this??

I have been thinking of buying a 6500 and sell my Flex 5000. Trying to
determine what its worth today. Mine is a 5000a, 2nd rx, and a V/U module.
Could not find any recent sales that looked like my config. Any ideas of worth
or has anybody seen any recent sales for a radio like mine?
Thanks,

I think Mike's explanation below is spot on. In prior releases of PSDR the
maximum carrier output was limited to around 30W by PSDR. If you had the
carrier level control at 100% and the RF drive at 100% you could get about
30W of carrier output. With 2.2.3 and maybe the previous release you

Today I tried some 15M AM and discovered some strange behavior. When I looked
at my AM signal on the scope I could see something other than me was modulating
it. Turns out there was a 10KHZ tone riding on my carrier. It only seems to

I was trying to work some DX on 160M this AM and was plagued by some noise.
Turns out it was a noise “hump” centered right around 1822 and its about 11-12
khz wide. I only see it on rx2. On 160M I use rx2 with a beverage through the
“rx2 in” bnc. So I started playing around with connections.

I am wondering if any of you have attempted to use the Flex 5000 to receive
longwave stations below 500KHZ. I have listened down in that range and the only
thing I hear is BCI from the stations in the US broadcast band. I assume a
