I agree. I've measured around a 40 msec lag when using the internal keyer

What is the best way to set output power levels for digital modes? I can
think of two possibilities:
1. Set Drive to 100 and adjust TxGain until ALC reads 0 dB. Then set output
power level by adjusting the Drive slider.
2. Leaving Drive set to 100 and adjusting TxGain to set the power output on

I installed 2.0.19 RC1 and am using it with my 5000A. On 20m phone, ANF
works very well. It knocks carriers from people tuning up down to
inaudibility.
On 15 meters, however, ANF barely makes a difference. I'd say it only knocks
carriers down by about 20 dB.
Has anyone else seen this? Why should

PowerSDR 2.0.16. I think you're right about the PTT delay setting. I've left
I'm using CWX to call CQ in CW. When I set the "Drop Delay" value in CWX to
a low value (e.g. 150msec), the spacing between letters and words is greatly
exaggerated when the keyer sends the contents of the memory. If I set Drop
Delay to a larger value, say 300msec, the sent code sounds fine.

When are they scheduled to be addressed? Right now, NB/NR/NB2/ANF either
don't work at all, or cause more harm than good (e.g. "growling" when NB is
engaged).

John,
I'm not at the rig right now and can't remember the settings. I'll take a
look tonight and try the settings you suggest. Thanks.

I'm running PowerSDR 2.0.16 with a Flex-5000A. My PC is a fast quad core
machine with 8GB RAM running Windows 7 x64. I run only PowerSDR on this
machine and nothing else and have turned off all unneeded Windows services.
How can I get the lag in the PowerSDR generated side tone down to an

I'm using PowerSDR 2.0.16 with a 5000A. The manual says that the "Disable
Monitor" box, when checked, will disable the CW side tone generated by the
5000A. It does not -- even with this box checked, I'm still hearing the
rig's side tone in my headphones in addition to my external keyer's side
tone.

What will happen, let's say, if the PC running PowerSDR blue screens while
an attached Flex-5000A is transmitting?
Will the 5000A continue to transmit indefinitely, or will it turn off the
transmitter and go back to receive mode?
Are there any circumstances where a PC hardware or software failure

Anyone know which, if any, of the rig adapters Heil sells for their headset
microphones are compatible with the mic jack pin-out on the 5000A?

Not as big a deal as loose parts, but my recently arrived 5000A came with an
