I have found the power adjustment per band to be very unreliable. I use the
sdr1000 for my vhf transveters. Each band needs a different amount of drive.
When switching between bands the power not always revert back to the preset for
this band. This could have serious consequences for the finals
I am using the SDR1000 remotely. Made both cw and voice qsos. The delay is less
than 1 second and the audio sounds slightly distorted with an occasional drop
out.
Pc anywhere and skype. Using VAC to handle the connections.

What is so wrong with an intermediate amplifier? I have been using this
approach for over 25 years. If properly designed it should produce a very nice
and clean signal.

Subj: Re: [Flexradio] 144 and 432 - Low v
I initally bought the 1 watt version for my 6m and up transverters. I did
not buy the 100 watt version as I saw the SDR1000 as an experimental
radio. I was not sure if the SDR 1000 would be any useful for me. After
less than 3 weeks I added the 100 watt PA as I really enjoyed the low band
H
in high duty modes. Ultimately I gave the thermistor
its own power supply. After that the problem was solved.
Good luck and let us know if you are able to solve it.

Submitted a bug on 12-25 and it was fixed on 12-29. What a support!
It took me a while to fall in love with this radio but I have not used my
old TS850 in over 3 months.
QRV with SDR-1000 160m up to 70cm.
Thanks and happy New Year to all of you.

Is a working version of powerSDR available for Linux? Is it as good as the
windows versions?
How can I down load it and make it work.

For VHF DXing the SDR 1000 needs a bunch of quick memories making it
easier to hunt DX. On this moment it is really lacking in its memory
capabilities.

The SDR-1000 is definitely ready for prime time. I have used it in the
past months as my primary set and slowly started to appreciate its strong
points.
I still love my TS850 but it does not improve with time. I am using the
K6JCA and newest released console (release 686) and have experienced
My TS850s has a much higher sensitivity in SSB on 10m than the SDR1000.
On 6m the SDR1000 is plain deaf.

As a follow up.
I did a short count of audible birdies on 10m with the SDR1000 receiver
terminated in a dummy load. (BTW 10M is the IF for most of my
transverters.)
A scan from 28.000 to 28.250MHz netted over 40 birdies. These are audible.
I only counted the ones that were 20dB above the noise
I disagree. With my SDR1000 the spurs are real, audible and numerous
within the receivers passband.

I have the same problem here with my SDR1000.

When I dial the VFO I get a clicking noise every time I change the
frequency. It does not matter what tuning step I use.
The noise becomes more noticeble on the higher HF bands. (20m and higher)
I also see and hear many birdies (> a dozen) popping up and disappearing
when I dial the VFO. Again
port and a check box to allow the TR logic to
work?
An additional box for X2 control would be great to allow transverter
selection.
Maybe I am too greedy.
