Hi Bill, yes there are two directions you can go using the SRD on 6 meters. I
elected to go the route of no transverter.
If you take this route, you need 1) a 6 meter preamp, (I use a DownEast 6 meter
preamp, $65.00) and 2) an amp to get you from .5 watts to whatever you need to
drive your amp.

Down East preamp is at the shack. You need low loss feed line if over 100 feet.
If you put the preamp at the antenna, there are all kinds of issues.

I have both the the Delta 44 and the Fa-66 Edirol. I have check
both against a very weak sig that is steady on 6 meters. My measurements
with the S meter, NOT the S Meter, Ho Ho, the real thing (dbm digital meter)
