Bill, You will still need powered speakers on the 6300, just like the 3000. Use good quality speakers, like the Bose, some powered speakers just do like to get close to RF. Check your headphone, if you have RFI there , then start looking at you grounding and antenna system.Things li

Just FYI. Last week I just purchased the M-Audio Studiopro 3 speakers. These speakers work really great with the SDR1000. Beautifull full audio. Just a pleasure to listen to SSB and broadcast stations. (For DX I use a headphone.) The Studio 3 speakers have internal power supply and amplification.
