Ignacio, according to a phone call I had yesterday with Flex they told me that
Power SDR will work fine with Vista 64 bit. It's just the Firewire Drivers
that is the problem. And that's because it is an unsigned driver. Mark KB3Z

Its not that we cannot test the program, I have. When you start up
Vista, you press F8 at boot time to go to the boot menu and select
the option that says to ignore unsigned drivers. This allows you to
boot up Vista x64 with the Flex driver. On my machine, you can use
PowerSDR for a random amount
I´m happy to hear this was a false alarm.
Now I have to ask the guy who explained me the reason why one of my
company´s software not working with Vista x64.

So Neal in a nutshell it will work if you can get Vista 64 to accept the
drivers if you can keep windows 64 from evicting it. I just wonder when one
updates Vista via Microsoft whether that reinstates the evicting part of the
progam. Mark KB3Z

I foresee another problem
Am very interested in buying a flex 5000a. But to my dismay because I have a
toshiba laptop that runs Vista 64 bit that the Firewire Driver that the Flex
5000a uses will not work. I am told that because it is a unsigned driver that
Vista 64 bit won't load it. Also, there may not be a
Hi Mark
We have had several rounds of discussion on this thread so you might
just search the archives about it.
The driver is not from Flex but from the company that builds the
firewire interface for them and they are not going to get it signed
until early next year so we just will have to wait
Frank, That's the best news I've heard today. I would really like to order the
radio and to be sure that I don't have to sit it on the shelf waiting for these
guys to get this driver approved. Thanks! Mark

I foresee another problem with Vista 64, probably masked because nobody
is able to test the program due to the lack of drivers.
As far as I know Microsoft doesn't include support for Access (Jet) type
databases, and they will be never supported.
Surely this affects PowerSDR, isn't is?
