Yep, I use RX2 for wide split on 40m all the time. However, since Dave has
a FLEX-3000 that is not an option. I didn't mention it in my post because I
didn't want to tantalize himhi..hi.

The wide split issue comes into play most often on 40 meters SSB.
When Vlad was on his Grand Tour of all those African sites a while back,
he used the 'Wide Split' technique frequently. Vlad operated cw
employing the Wide Split profile.
W9OL handles this problem by using the 2nd receiver.

Yes, that is correct. Apparently, you had MultiRX turned on. Turn it off &
you can do it.
The problem is that in order for MultiRX to work, both frequencies must be
visible in the Panadapter at the same time. So, if you have a wide

displays the transmit frequency and it will be red (along with the TX
button in the VFO display) indicating that it is the transmitting only
