this is my first post to this mailing list. (some people might know me from
the irc channel, which i joined about a week ago for the first time, not
counting a brief visit a year ago.) i have been following the development of
flightgear for some time now with interest. great work
Hi everyone.
I had the urge to fly DHC-6 Twin Otter in flightgear so i surfed the web for
some fact sheets, photographs and 3views and went ahead. I decided to do the
first version (100) of DHC 6, as it has a "cuter" look. It took three
aproaches to get there and after a coupl
t the entire fuselage was colored more or less red)

t to say, that the "recalculate normals outside"-fuction doesn't
work very well. It works with simpler models but somehow it kind of
overlooked some faces so i had to fix those by hand...

Erik: would be glad to add the jsbsim FDM. My own attempts to get it to work
got as far as flightgear sucessfully loading the plane but the engines didn't
seem to run and I couldn't change that even in the internal property
browser...

And people who never heard of RTFM or think we like to hear some of those
statements like: "U suck, msfs is muchbetter1" have either never
heard about mailing lists or are too lazy to sign up...
I hate to say it, but for flightgear, mailing lists
acked the code not to show those dialogs any more... could supply a
"patch" if someone wants it :-)
