Is it possible to consider it as a plugable keyboard system? The sim
would include a standard keyboard layout that was simular to the
normal layout as we know it uptil now, and then if some could use a
more sophisticated layout, they could themselves swap in a keyboard
layout file that supported
a core.dump file flying around...)
How is it done?

Okay, just to notify i have given up and used a different computer to
compile the whole thing on and then moved all the compiled data back
to my orriginal computer - and off course it runs perfectly...
