+1 to all of this.
I honestly do not know the best way to go about this, I have limited
experience in this area, but it was a hassle to say the least when I wanted
to contribute to the foreman_banner plugin. I actually never ended up
taking it over. Basically the process was me forking, making
Thanks for the compliments!
Actually, the pulp_deb part is an active pull request
'https://github.com/pulp/pulp_deb/pull/24'.
It's features can be tested with the pulp-admin command.
The Katello part however is not ready to be merged anywhere.

FWIW, the approach I arrived at for smart-proxy plugins:
- Explain the original developer their options for hosting the plugin
(i.e. within Foreman github organization, and outside of it, and what
each option entails). The former implies that Foreman developers have
a say over technical matters t
Hi all,
I've been thinking for a while about plugins, and how to continue them
when original authors move on. It's only natural that developers will
come and go, so we need to think about how to deal with this. We've got
a few examples of this now, and have had others in the past.

This is awesome, thanks guys! Deb support for Katello has been on my
wishlist for a long time. In case you didn't see it, Leah Fisher was

Hi all,
here at ATIX-AG (Munich), we started to implement the necessary steps, to
integrate Debian/Ubuntu repositories in Katello's content management system.
Since we reached a point of minimal functionality, we thought, we could share
our progress with the community.

Hey,
Sync of Fedora 26 is not yet complete, I will report back when it's ready.
Unfortunately EPEL5 was removed from the mirror we had mrepo
configured to, it was deleted locally without any warning. I set a
different mirror and resyncing EPEL5 once again.
