Stuart,
Thanks for that. It seems like the best option, as PPT saves out every slide
fairly quickly and automatically overwrites the existing files.

FM 8 and WWP 8 (of any flavor) don't work together. You need WWeP 9.x.

When we upgraded to FM8, we abandoned ePublisher in favor of Mif2Go and

Hi, Sheila:
I'm not sure I understand your description. In the Spelling Checker >
Options, you can enable or disable straight quotes as an error when checking
spelling. However, there's no way to detect curly quotes in the Options
dialog box.
You can find and change them with Edit > Find/Change.

Hi all--
Schlomo's fix worked. I turned on tagged PDF, and now I can create a PDF
that includes a generated file. Life is good, thanks!

The best option seems to be to make a pdf from
PowerPoint and import by reference. (Because I haven't
had any trouble making landscape pdfs, I don't expect
to have to crop.)
If things change, I'll make a new pdf, which I assume
will update automatically. So it's not as easy as I'd

If I take the TOC out of the book, I can make a PDF of the whole book.
