However, I don't think you can back-save from 8 to a 6 compatible MIF
format. I think it only supports back-saving to FM 7.

The one compelling reason I had to upgrade to FM8 was unicode support.
One of my docs was a multi-lingual safety guide, and each language had
to be done separately, PDF'd on localized machines, and then each
language had to be assembled into the the final book.
This caused problems with some of ou

Since I *just* got one of my recalcitrant writers to upgrade to FM8 a
few months ago, we haven't implemented the expressions feature in FM8.
It's on my to-do list... Along with about 30,000 other things... :-)
We'll all be in FM9 before I get around that that, tho...
