I have been searching for how to insert a greater than or equal to symbol (a
less than or equal to symbol would be useful, too) into my document. I am using
Arial font, if that help.
According to the User Guide that came with the application, I should be able to
do this by pressing ctrl+q

I am curious to see if there is any consensus from Framers as to the
preferred Component Content Management system or Source Control system
for a small-to-medium publications department in a small-to-medium
company running FrameMaker 7.2 on a shared network in an IT environment
that is SQL-centric.
Notepad++ is free and you it has search and replace within entire
folders and subfolders.

Hi all:
Any aeronautics people on this list? If yes, (or even if no, feel
free to weigh in) in text, when referring to another part of the text,
what is the preferred way to note that reference?
I have two documents -- one refers to "paragraph 5.1" and the other
refers to [section symbol] 5.1.

Hi
We have to rename all linked graphics.
My plan is to
1. generate a list of linked graphics for each chapter
2. convert the list to a table with two column and writh the new
graphics name in the right column
3. rename all graphics
4. Close and open FM and for each graphics point to the new file

Hadn't heard about NotePad++. Probably because I am a happy TextPad user, but

TextPad will also search/replace through subfolders, supports HTML
highlighting, macros, and many other really nice features.

Probably the best way is through MIF.
You could use a program like TextPad, shareware from www.textpad.com (or $35US
if you like it), and open all of your MIF files at one time, versus opening and
closing each MIF in something like Notepad.
