Odd that performance has degraded over time. You might try defragmenting the hard drive, though with modern hardware that really shouldn't cause much trouble.

Hi Carla, Yes, there's a delay the first time you use Smart Insert in a doc, and if you type too rapidly, there's usually an error in which tag is selected. I believe the Publish command comes with TCS, but when I played with it the workflow seemed wrong. The simple workflow where you just create a RoboHelp project and link to (rather than import) FrameMaker source is not documented very well, if at all. I created a cheat sheet for my own future refer

Hi Carla Yes, I see this too, also in Structured mode, when I'm using CTRL+1, 2 or 3 to insert, wrap or change elements. Very annoying indeed. The "shortcut" menu with the list of formats or elements isn't really a shortcut menu anymore. I want the good old (but fast!) Fm8 behavior back. Cheers
