Hey all,Ironically we are just prolonging the agony about this - can we all
agree to have different opinions about this situation and just move on? This
list is one of the few where antagonism is not the norm and that is too
valuable to ruin. Thanks!Sent from Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
C2,
There's a RemoveExtraWhiteSpacesOnXMLImport setting in maker.ini.
It is initially set to On. When it is On, when FM reads an XML document,
it condenses a sequence of spaces and newlines into a single space. It
assumes that an element that is declared to be EMPTY in XML does not
I agree. There was nothing wrong at all with Stefan's reply. He was trying to
explain the reasons for the spam, how it occurred, and what Adobe is planning
in order to remedy it.
There was no "rapping of knuckles" at all, IMO.
This is a symptom of the age we now live in: people are on a hair
I have to admit I am "baffled" as to how Carol got that impression from
Stephan's email.
I am offended that Carol has called out Stephan publicly. This whole request
should have happened privately.
But I am staying on this list because it is too valuable to be to ask to be
removed because
Hi Carol,
I did not, in any way, want to rap on Tammy's knuckles, and I'm ashamed that
one could read this out my mail.
Also, I'm very sad to hear that you have decided to be no longer an Adobe
Partner. However, we fully respect your decision, and I have initiated the
process to remove your
Stephan, I would like to ask you to remove my entry entirely.
Although this list isn't the appropriate place to ask this, for some
reason, I've taken offense at your replies to this thread. I know you
didn't mean them as such, but when I read your reply to Tammy, I felt
like you were rapping
Hi Ian,
Your address is shown because you have entered it like that in the "Company
Adress field" which is clearly marked as such.
That is not a "serious breach of confidence." It's just that you have
registered it like that in your profile.
I have removed your address from your profile for
C2,
There's a maker.ini setting that will help with the spaces, but may
affect other spaces. I'll look up the details later today.

Thank you, Lynne.
The contract requires CGM. I only found Larson software that will edit in
native CGM format and I read that the latest version Illustrator can export CGM
format. I do not have either of these.

Here's another two that I like for repeating the last command (Esc r,r) and
applying the default font (Esc d,d):

Oooo! I like the back command. I shall add it. Thank you!
Yes, I edited cmds.cfg to disable the rotate table cell text shortcut. I
haven't been able to think of a better sequence, but it's not like I use it
often enough to worry about a shortcut. The table row format command,
though, I use
You can always edit cmds.cfg and change the KeySequence to something else.
It's located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\AdobeFrameMaker2015\fminit\configui
depending on your FM version.
For example, this adds Esc b,b for the Back command:

Yep. I replaced all the < with [ and I can use my table format shortcut
again. Yay! Thanks for the tip.

Hello FrameUsers,
I suspect that some of the email addresses may have been sourced from
unscrupulous web site that store data from breaches in web site security.
It should be remembered that back in October 2013, over 153 million
Adobe accounts were breached with each containing an internal
I too have been receiving these annoying spam emails. I just deal with them
as I would with any other spam. I am more concerned however that my personal
home address is now shown on my page in the partner's portal. I never give
out that full information, so this is a serious breach of confidence.

Yes, Lin, that should do the trick:
The commands are not copied to the user area, hence you must modify their
