create file .xinitrc with startkde in it
startx with whatever options you want to startx with

This isn't a show stopping problem, it's a curiousity. Whenever i make a
port under 5.3, i get the message database not found then the port builds,
it doesn't matter which one i install, this error still occurs.

I've added
ipfilter_enable=YES
to /etc/rc.conf trying to load ipfilter as a loadable module. Unless i have
the kernel ipv6 code in the module does not get created. Has anyone else
seen this and if so what was the reasoning behind this?

Thanks, do you have a usbd.conf entry that does this? I'm also seeing my
cd-roms moving, they use scsi emulation and whenever the drive goes in they
move as well and it makes it so i have to edit 4 scripts for custom burning.

Trying to update my perl port from 5.8.6 to 5.8.7. The updating of perl
itself went fine, but all the dependent ports on it like swatch, php, etc.
previously referenced modules that were included in 5.8.6, now they're not
working. What extra step do i do?

the process. The specific command
is:
cd /mnt
cp -R * /backup/data
I then try it with tar
tar -cf - | (cd /backup/data; tar -xf -)
This gets up to about 5.4g then the errors start again. I thought about dump
but am not sure if that can read ext2 filesystems.

Hi,
I use to use ipf under pre-5.3. NOw i have switched to pf for various
reasons. I have not as of yet deployed it on my router, but i will be doing
so. In looking it over, i do not believe pf needs nat_enable it does all
it's nats within the pf.conf file.
