You can't use OpenLDAP 1. I had many many problems using 1.2.11.
Upgrading to the current stable release of OpenLDAP 2 (2.0.21) basically
solved every single problem I had.
There are ref
Ladies and gentlemen, I have solved my problems with rlm_ldap.
Switching to 2.0.21, the most current stable version of OpenLDAP, fixed
everything.
And I didn't have to patch the calls to library functions that don't exist
in 1.2, which
was cool.
Now, I was running 1.2.11, and the more observan

The Makefile generated by autoconf doesn't assign a value to TARGET. TARGET
should be
set equal to rlm_ldap.
Once I manually edited the makefile, voila, it worked. Did

OK - Updating to the latest CVS snapshot allowed me to use the := operator.
I can now
specify Auth-Type := Ldap in the SQL database, and it will actually work. :)
I'm THIS >< close to getting everything working. Here's the latest, and
hopefully, the
last issue I'm encountering.
The Authentica

D'OH!
*OF COURSE*
I didn't replace the queries.
Ok, I'll try this later today and report bac

OK, this is getting aggravating. I built the 1/9 nightly snapshot off the
ftp site (id's itself as FR 0.5) and... nothing.
Searched through the source for rlm_sql and rlm_sql_mysql for any mention
of the word "operator" - not found.
Same with the latest source off CVS.
I hope this is just a re
I'm currently using FreeRadius - just upgraded to 0.4 - to
authenticate users with account info in /etc/passwd and
/etc/shadow.
Currently all I use is a default entry in
/usr/local/etc/raddb/users.
This works fine.
However, I'm testing a setup where as much information as possible will
