Found some issues with the CVS freevo. I'm running runtime-pre5-test6.
(Incidentally, rominfo is no longer in freevo/src/games/, but it's not
in the runtime either? I don't use it so I can't test anyhow)

Maybe as a temporary fix, we could just pass a shortened string to the
popup... bounds checking is better, but no crash and less-than-perfect

By output method, I meant display, so yes, fbdev. I wanted to confirm
that the problem was for those output methods outside of the three I
had mapped out.
