Hi. I was just wondering whether anyone was currently using a DVB
card with Freevo. I've just installed a new Avervmedia DVB-T card in my
freevo Box (It's a budget kind with no MPEG2-decoder) and have the
latest cvs of mplayer playing tv from it with no problems (eg with the
command mplayer
I want to hookup my memory card reader to Linux. Does anyone know how to do
this?

Any advice, help, link
where are you pressing record? when you are watching tv? then it will never
work as you MUST press record when you are in the tv guide on the item you
want to record.
mencoder is not included with freevo 1.3.4 you need to download and use the
0.91 version of mplayer and install it over the version
what do you record with to get multiplexed mpeg files?
I might just go that route also.

I downloaded the full 12MB freevo-1.3.4 rpm. I have found several things

Hello,
I'm a little bit confused about tvmixer, alsa and btaudio:
I've tried to force btaudio to specific dsp-devices with the modules options,
but it doesn't work. So loading without snd-pcm-oss module leads btaudio to
dsp0 (digital) and dsp1 (analog). If snd-pcm-oss is loaded it results into dsp
Make sure that mencoder is aware of the frequency of the audio. For
example, the btaudio device provides audio at 32khz. If mplayer is
expecting 22khz or 44khz, you'll have speed problems as it tries to
match the frequency to 44khz.
I'm not sure but I think if 32khz is provided to 22khz, it'll be

Wher X is the joystick driver type... I think linux kernel drivers are joytype 3?
Xmame --help should tell you.

Oh, btw, you can get xmame in fullscreen with DGA too, not as fast as XV, but not all
cards have xv support. You need a recompile to enable xv support.
John
Thx for that, I will give that a go.
Also I have a wireless USB pad. This works in freevo and zsnes, is it possible to use

Don't take offense, but the most probable cause of MAME DIR_GAMES errors is
just that; You've entered the wrong path and/or misspelled it.

I Basicly copied the DIR_GAMES from the docs, and changed the paths acordingly to

Adapt local_conf.py

This is a short list of death-traps when trying to get freevo up and running
from cvs;
Epia M9K + Mandrake 9.1
1) When installing pygame, everything breaks, until you comment out the two
lines in the 'Setup' file dealing with surfarray & sndarray
2) When compiling smpeg breaks horribly, you find
this is how i do it. it works.
