a desktop file
in /opt/gnome/share/gdm/BuiltInSessions
Make a copy of the default.desktop and I think it should appear in your
GDM list.
When I have my box back in one piece and working I can check exactly how
I did it.

been shut down
weeks ago, where I asked the same
question. You will find some pointers there on how to set it up.
You can just set up your additional 'Desktop' setting that will start
Freevo as the wiki suggest.

The only thing that I still need to get working is the recording, but I

options have a wrong setting.
Can I get Freevo to just launch mplayer without specifying options?
Or how can I find out what the values of the options should be?
Thanks

'-demuxer' option, which prevents it from working.
If I remove that option, it plays.
I did not find any reference to it in the local_conf.py file.
Is there a way of telling freevo not to use that option?

, that is what I have done. I suppose this is not the correct
solution, but it works for me.
Now I discovered that mplayer does not play all mp3 files.
Is xine better as an audio player?
Or are there other players that I can use?

Any idea what I am doing wrong or how I can get this working properly?
I have gone through the wiki so many times that I am beginning to
confuse myself...

OK, so my curiosity got the better of me and I had a quick look
I managed to fix the problem.
I found
versions of the lsdvd output.
Then I'll add it to the wiki.

for both
versions of lsdvd output as it checks of the microseconds are present or
not and then handle it accordingly.
Unfortunately I cannot test if it will work with the normal output
format.
Hope this helps.
