no power here in Brazil, so I can distribute it... and F*ck the DMCA.

If you really want a stand alone HTPC machine, Freevo
should really run the mencoder process. I imagine
setting the process at a low priority should allow you
to still do other things (watch TV, listen to music)
while it's encoding.

need to either upgrade to the CVS version or wait for a new release...
