I wouldn't want to see the class name, but sorting by class does sound
better except it wouldn't distinguish between a terminal and the
terminal running vim which you could by my method.

still posted? (this is the way it behaves in mwm)

By turning on Style * Lenience this is overriden, but not for fvwm
tear-off menus.

I use ROX-Filer to get desktop icons in Fvwm. But the trouble is that the
windows appear below the layer on which the icons are so the icons are on the
top. How can I make ROX-Filer always start on the lowest layer? The application
name is rox. But in the process list, it shows up as ROX-Fil
