I'm on my second VST expansion bay Zip (used on both 233 and 292 Wallstreets). The first one got the COD but it may have been my fault - I ejected a cartridge and immediately changed my mind and rammed it back in. I think the drive got confused. Had drive replaced by dealer eventually and all

I just replaced my DJSA-220, which was a replacement for the original 6 gig drive in my Pismo. This was an 18 gig HD. It was getting too small, but it was also getting progressively louder. Judging from the similarity in model numbers I would say you don't have one of the liquid bearing ones.

The DJSA-230 is a model 30GT - no liquid bearings. Ken That actually made me happy. I can have a quieter drive in this thing! WOOHOO! I'm looking at the 40GN models at OWC. I may just go for the 30GB and use the noisy one I have now as a backup drive in an external firewire case.

I had my 20 gig model replaced by IBM because of noise. Note however, that the replacement was a 'Serviceable used drive' and not brand new. The replacement is now in an external case since the Lombard it was in has been replaced by a TiBook. That actually made me happy. I can have a quieter
