Tar.gz is a standard UNIX compression filetype. Associate the tar.gz files
with Stuffit-Expander (in short: ctrl+click - show info-switch to open
with application-Choose Stuffit Expander-Change all).

compression. Strictly dot-tar files stand for Tape Archive. Offers no

the application sends a duplicate copy of that message, every time.
What am I missing here? Is there something in the Prefs that needs to
be selected or deselected?

I'm real happy with my (original) graphite station at home. The (dual
ethernet/new version) snow station at the office has been a hassle,
requiring much more effort to set up, and regular resets to work.

Thanks, Laurent, but I figured it out. I had imported all my contacts, etc.,
from Eudora, and Entourage set me up with two accounts: one for Entourage,
and the old one from Eudora.
It's also playing nuttier than a sh*thouse rat with 9.1 on this machine,
even after I increased its memory
