Thanks to those who replied to my query on this. I did think that the
Dock was another approach but I don't want to be messing with scripts
and command lines! The answer must lie somewhere . . .

We use a Cisco 350 cardbus card at our office to connect to our Airport

works great. No problem whatsoever.

Hi,
I've just noticed a problem with the modem on my Titanium Powerbook
550 not responding under OS 9.2.1. When I doublechecked the port
selection in the Modem control panel, the Connect via: popup menu has
disappeared, so I am unable to select the internal modem. All that it

I would recommend you upgrade to OS 10. It has all the security features of

OS X and firmware passwords provide some protection, but can be easily
worked around if someone has physical access to the PowerBook. You may
want to look into encryption for the best protection, depending on how
sensitive your data is.

Stein,
the 8173 will NOT fit your 8080B drive.
Several dealers (including ourselves powerbookguy.com) carry the 8080B
drive, which is the ONLY existing DVD drive that will mount up on your case.
Thanks,
David

Does anyone know of a software way to get a powerbook's screen to
show upside down? I want to put a cheapo DVD player/GPS mapper in my
vehicle (the 7 screen crap-ola they sell [at a circuit city, for

I want to place the PB in a slip-in bracket on the ceiling
the 8080b is 8x.
