Think I figured it out. . .
I completely removed Safari from my HDD by using "find" and moving all
Safari files to trash. I then restarted, used find once more searching
for any Safari files. Nothing. . .so after that, I went to Apples
website, downloaded Safari and ran the installer again. T
I would also like to know how to get my bookmarks from IE to Safari? I've
been dragging some my bookmarks manually, but that takes too long, and I
have to retype the name of the bookmarks all over again, because the name is
lost when dragging to Safari.
Help anyone?

Once again,
I'm stuck wondering why Apple thinks everyone is gonna get all the
answers they need in there incredibly lacking help program. According
to it, Safari is supposed to import all my IE favorites the first time
it runs. This is simply not true. It doesn't do anything except boot
up.

I would certainly encourage you to download the XPostFacto application
and launch it and look around at it a bit. If this makes you a little
nervous, then quit the application and there is no harm done. It's
just an application. Then, if you choose to, you can pay the

Hi, Listers!
I'm using OS X.3 on a Pismo.
I prefer to use Netscape 7 instead of Safari, and Eudora 6.1 instead of Mail.
How can I make them the default browser and mail app.?
I can't find where this preferences are stored, like they were in
Internet Configuration. Best regards.

Thanks for your post below. I was able to update mine using my Safari
browser with no trouble whatsoever. If that had failed, my next step was to
explore how to do it via TFTP.
Again, thanks
