Lately I have been seeing a LOT of the spinning pizza pie. I repaired permissions, no help. I ran Disk First Aid from the CD, no help. Any ideas on what to try next? iBook 14 inch dual USB Snow, 640 MB, 10.3.9 All Apple software updates are up to date according to Software Update. -- G-Books

I can only comment on a couple of points, having no experience with the remaining issues: There are times when the Lombard seems to get very warm and I have not noticed the fan kick in. I am going to look for a temperature gauge for the system, but do not know what normal operating
