Help! My PB 667 will not backlite when woken up or started up from
battery power. Sometimes it will but after a while I'll have to
restart the computer and then it won't. A repair place told me I
needed a new logic board for $600 which doesn't interest me. Any
thoughts, suggestions? Thank you

Or they have engines that mix up names and random and if they don't
get a bounce, they know they have a legitimate name.
When the NYC dept of ed changed my email name, I didn't get any
spam--but others with more common names got spam before they even
checked their email--they had never posted! Esp

There's something about spamming that has me puzzled.
I'm at a loss to see how it pays. I can't imagine enough
people dim enough to buy something from a spammer. Who could

Yes, and the standard Matsushita (Panasonic) SR-8173-C CD-DVD-ROM drive
has a switch which can select Master, Slave or Cable Select, by a slide
switch.
Master is indeed the correct choice.

No, Jim, they harvest them from the archives.

I'm in the process of buying a dvdrw for the Lombard
I'm putting together. The seller needs to know whether
she should set the drive as master or slave. I'm
wondering, should I not set the hd drive as the master
and the dvd drive as the slave? Your help will be
greatly appreciated. TIA.

You could also be the victim of a "dictionary attack" where they send
out spam to a series of alpha strings at likely addresses.
My Dad uses his initials and has a lot of spam.
