I've been setting up a 400 MHz Lombard for my sister and have noticed a
disturbing problem.
It was running OS 9.2.2 with 320 Mb of RAM.
The L2 cache chip failed 6 months ago (The freeze on restart problem is
recent).
The freeze happens on restart but if I shut down and then start up all

I started the thread about being careful about static electricity.
Tonight, I put my G5 iMac to sleep.
I stood up and took off a Polartec vest, under which I had a cotton

I was done with the computer and I knew I was going to get a blast of

Hi,
I recently have been having problems with Safari. For example, the
websites that I used to be able to sign on with a password

Explorer 5.2 but I prefer just Safari).
This problem is also occurring on Explorer and Netscape. Suddenly,

Hi Caleb,
It's strange because all of this started happening about a week ago and
has been getting progressively worse since. I have emptied the cache
and reset Safari. I called my ISP and they told me that they felt it
was a problem involving entering secure sites.
