Greetings listers,
I've got a PowerBook G3 (original Kanga) that I can't get up and running.
I've tried asking at the Apple support site, but haven't gotten much help
yet so thought I'd try here. For those of you regulars at the Apple site,
sorry for putting you through this again. Here goes:
Hello,
On a Pismo screen, could anyone please tell me if there is any
significance to the color of the cable that comes out of the screen
to the inverter board. I have seen blue or pink. Got to wondering if
there were certain brands of screens that matched certain inverter
boards better than
I don't know what battery reset utility does, because it won't work with my

charge at all for quite a while and then only a little bit even though the
Well, Battery Reset does just this -- resets the battery. I got a

The DVD-ROM drive may be at fault. I know that my Lombard has a

Hello,
Just wondering if anybody has the Beta version of Google Earth for OS
X ? If so, could you please contact me off list. I just want to
know how well it works on your Mac, etc etc..
I am aware that this Beta version was recently pulled but a number of
people were able to download

Hello All
I'm shifting from a Lombard to a Pismo and want to be able to connect
to SCSI devices, specifically older powerbooks (520, 1400, Wallstreet)

To do this I've recently got a Belkin F5U015-TPW USB
I have the 10.4 12 G4 aluminum, a Clie UX-50, and Missing Sync.
I wish to connect the PDA and Missing Sync with Bluetooth.
The PDA and the PB can do the initial discovery/trusted device thing

My best guess is that this is a software/firmware problem with the

a Kyocera smart phone using a cable (it did not have Bluetooth). Can
you hot sync using the cable or cradle? If so, do that, and as an

I have a Lucent silver wireless card which I was using in a

But I just got a lombard and formatted the HD and put a fresh install
of 9.22 on. It has airport 2.04 but it doesn't detect a wireless card.
Does it need a firmware update or

It worked a whole lot better after I turned it down from some of the
high-end video settings which seemed to be more in line with a G5
desktop system's capabilities. Turned down to the medium-type
settings, it runs nicely on my 1.25ghz Powerbook/1gb RAM/64mb Radeon

Hi,
I seem to remember someone offering a G4/500 or 550 upgrade for the
Lombard series, but I can't seem to remember which company. I know the
WS I and II have available upgrades from Sonnet, but I'd like to bump
the Lombard up.
Also, are there any heat issues with Lombard/Pismo systems

Dear listers, and, more specifically, fellow Lombard users,
I've got my Lombard in my lap, as it virtually lives in my recliner.
However, I was watching some video in VLC when I felt things getting
hot. I then fired up TemperatureX and saw that my Lombard was running a
smokin' 183 degrees
