Hi Gang
Have any of you ever used a cellphone with a Pismo (or any other
Powerbook) to go online out in the wilds whether there's no wireless,
phone jack or LAN point? If so, please let me know how it's done.
What phones, software and connections between the two did you use?

Hi G-bookers
Seen a lot of mentions of DOS/PC cards that you
can stick in the PCI slots on a desktop mac but
never tried one (instead, used VirtualPC 3·0
whenever I needed to emulate a PC).
Now I've moved full-time to a laptop (400MHz

I have a Pismo 400MHz, 768 RAM, 40G HD running OS 10.3.9. Will I have
any problems updating from Quicktime 6.5.2 to Quicktime 7.0.1?
Will it be an improvement? I have noticed my Quicktime Player to be

about:
* ethernet connection is flaky. Will be worked around by going
wireless. Twould be nice to sort it though - any thoughts?

Will OSX be as slow as I fear, even with the bigger hard disk and more
RAM?
OSX on my Pismo with a 400MHz G3 and 512 RAM was fast.
With the bluechip upgrade to 900MHz and 1 GB RAM it is even better, but even
at 400MHz, it was fast enough.

Dear Listers
Can I tell you a shaggy dog story and then ask for some advice,
please? (If not, please just delete this mail!)
Got myself a 400MHz Pismo recently. Love it to bits for the look
