Did you try burning in Toast without the patch? My Matshita 330 that I used for replacement in my Pismo went flawlessly and burning with Toast was supported as soon as I put it in the expansion bay to replace my old drive. I replaced my Superdrive (DVR-104) in my desktop with a Pioneer DVR-108
