Hello evrybody,
Usually I'm using my pismo within a WiFi-DSL environment, so I haven't
really used the internal modem for ages. But when I went on holiday up in
the mountains, I had to use dial-in (what a difference! Actually waiting for
webpages *g*), but I noticed, the connection was really
Dial up performance it dependent on the phone line you are using, not the
modem, as I always get 48.5 at home and only 28.6 at a friends house just

My Pismo modem is working in OS9, installed on a separate partition.
However, in OSX 10.3.8, when I try to dial into the ISP I get the

recommendation for a really good modem script to use with the internal
modem? We use the Apple Internal 56k script in my wife's Pismo, but are
not real happy with it - lots of lost connections, refusals to connect, etc.
I seem to recall that shutting the modem off can make a battery last
longer. Noted that Mybattery reports that my Pismo's modem is on, but
no apparent way of switching it off. Any clues?
